The costume of the demon from the movie insidious
hi! Please tell me how you did the eyes?
How were the nails made
hey there! i am amazed by your work with the insidious demon. I was wondering, which materials and costumes and that stuff did u use for it? because i am doing an activity at school and i am going to go as the demons of insidious. Thanks a lot man!
Sorry I don't come on here too often. It may be a little late for that project, but I'd be happy to share any information that would help for future reference. I'll start out by telling you it was expensive. I spent 13 months gathering the materials so that it wouldn't hurt me financially. It cost about $450 all together. The skin is a morph suit with the face cut out. Over that, an old mask with a witch nose stitched on and painted. The eyes are from a zombie mask, painted with UV glow paint. The hair is from a fabric store. The earrings are rings from the ends of a dog's choke chain. The teeth I bought online. The lower half of the face is face paint. The fingers were store bought, but they required modification. If you look at stills from the movie, you can see that they used the exact same claws, which are actually the most common finger armor you can find. I bought mine at a gas station. The thumb and pinkies were shortened by removing the middle links. I also sculpted claw extensions out of sculpey to make the fingers longer. Rings had to be sculpted inside the claws so they could fit my fingers and not slide off. The hooves are store bought shoe covers over platform wedges and black fur leg warmers. The tail was a pain. It is the end of a devil pitch fork, a dragon tail, and strong flexible metal wire. If you take packing foam and coat it with contact cement, it can be molded into whatever shape you want. And when it dries, it is very much like foam rubber. I used this to hold the tail together. Just be careful! And have lots of gloves handy because you will go through a lot. The tail was held on by a harness I wore under the morph suit. I hope this helps!
Awesome photos man
